A science and technology writer and editor in Canada

About me

That’s me! Photo credit: Jenna Marie Wakani

I’m a Toronto-based writer whose work explores how science and tech shape our lives. My first book, a nonfiction middle-grade title on the search for alien life, will be published by Kids Can Press in 2027. I am represented by literary agent Ron Eckel at CookeMcDermid.

As a former staff writer at Maclean's and senior editor at VICE, I’ve shadowed astronaut training at NASA, visited an underground laboratory hunting for hidden dark matter particles, and explored a nuclear power plant. I wrote the screenplay for and narrated "Living With Jaguars", a VICE VR documentary that premiered at South by Southwest in 2018.

In December 2025, I completed a two-week writing residency for Early Career Writers of Young Adult and Children's Books at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. I am also part of a science fiction and fantasy writing group called the TimeCats!
